Inside Caroline’s Closet Launch Party

Since launching my boutique last summer, I had not gotten the chance to throw a launch party to celebrate the business as well as to celebrate all of YOU ! This summer it was really important to me to plan a launch event where friends, family, customers, and friends of friends could come and try on different outfits, shop, mingle, and sip on champagne. So, earlier this month I threw a launch party for Inside Caroline’s Closet and it was such a success ! About 70 women came to the event to support Inside Caroline’s Closet and enjoy a night out. I am so grateful to everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to celebrate with me ! Let’s dive in to the details of the party:

Where:

I hosted the party at Campania Rooftop on Hylan Blvd in Staten Island (thank God the weather held out and it was actually a beautiful night).

Flowers:

Eltingville Florist created the most beautiful floral arrangements for each table consisting of peonies, roses and pampas grass in different shades of pink. They even spray painted some of the filler branches pink to make it more cohesive.

They also designed a beautiful white, pink, and red flower wall to use as a photo op for guests. I had a vision of painting a pink door and putting it in front of the flower wall to make it look like you’re outside of my closet door. My dad painted the door for me and I glued on my logo. It was definitely a labor of love but I think it ended up looking really cute! Lastly, Eltingville scattered rose petals all around to create a romantic vibe.

Dessert:

I used a few different vendors for the desserts. The Busy Llama from Etsy made the cutest custom sugar cookies designed to look like my logo, a shopping bag, a cosmo, and a high heel shoe. They were adorable and the flavor was funfetti (yum).

Sammi Sweetz made pink chocolate covered pretzel rods, brownies drizzled with pink icing, and cake pops! All of her desserts were delicious and she delivered them right to my house.

Lastly, La Dolce Tavola was kind enough to set up an entire dessert display at the party featuring seven layer crumb buns, napoleon pastries, cannolis, mini cupcakes, and strawberry shortcake cups. The table looked beautiful. Reach out to her if you need a dessert table set up for an upcoming party !

Gift Bags:

Several amazing local small businesses donated items for the gift bags which I appreciated SO much. Perhaps A Picnic, a customizable picnic service, provided discount cards. Brows By Amna provided her custom eye lash and eyebrow growth serum. The Chocolate Suite provided delicious chocolate covered pretzels. Honey Luxe Cosmetics provided lipstick samples and discount codes. I threw in a scrunchie to each goodie bag for a small extra gift.

Shopping:

I set up gold racks (purchased on Amazon) and tables to display all of the latest summer inventory. Guests were able to try clothes on in a cute little pop up cabana that I set up with a full length mirror inside. My cousin Taylor was amazing enough to help me ring people up throughout the night! If items were out of stock, cards were available to fill out so guests could request a restock on an item. As customers shopped, everyone received a laptop/cellphone sticker of the ICC logo. The remaining inventory is online and available to shop NOW !

Food & Drinks:

Campania passed around delicious light bites consisting of mini meatballs, rice balls, caprese salad, coconut shrimp, steak and chicken on a skewer, Italian egg rolls, and more. A signature drink, Caroline’s Cosmo, was offered at the bar and pink frozen drinks were served to guests as they arrived. I don’t remember exactly what was in them but they contained vodka, were pink and frozen with a fun straw, so it was a hit lol.

Photographer:

I knew I’d be so busy all night talking to people and helping with check out that I wouldn’t have time to take a bunch of photos and videos. Hiring a photographer was the best decision I ever made because I barely looked at my phone all night. AJ Photography took the most beautiful pictures of the party as well as all of the guests. It was so much fun to get the chance to meet a bunch of you for the first time !

My Look:

I wore a dress from my boutique - duh! It was a chic white cut out dress with a gold buckle in the center. The sides and back were open and it had a slit down the side. Most of you chose that dress when I posted it to IG Stories so I knew it was the right choice ! My sister Studio A by Alex did my hair and makeup for the party. We opted for bouncy curls with the front slicked behind my ears so I wouldn’t be messing with it all night and a gold/bronze eye shadow look.

I had such a great night and hope that everyone who came had a great time as well ! Should we do another one in time for the holidays ?!

XO,

Caroline
