Different Britney Spears Halloween Costumes

Halloween is just a few days away and I know the struggle of wanting to find a costume that's unique and creative, without having to spend an absurd amount of money for items you're most likely just going to throw away.

Two years ago I dressed up as Britney Spears from her VMA Slave 4 U performance and it still remains my favorite costume that I've ever put together. It was so much fun creating the look and I loved getting to pretend to be Britney for the night.

This year, I'm dressing up as Britney again...but you'll have to stay tuned to see which one!

Here is a list of five different Britney costumes that are fun and easy to create:

( I tried to steer clear of Britney costumes that have been done a million times before, so if I'm missing any obvious ones that is why! )

1. Slave 4 U

Okay so this costume is actually a lot easier to put together than you think, but you will need Amazon Prime on your side. For starters, you need to recreate Britney's green wrap bra. There are a few ways to achieve this. You can either go to a fabric store like I did and cut it so that you create a bra that ties around your waist and drapes onto the floor, or you can wear a green bra and use a green scarf to wrap around your bra and around your waist. A bikini top would also work as well.

As far as the shorts, I just wore tan Free People shorts that I already had but if you want you can wear blue shorts and bedazzle the front of them to make them more realistic.

I bought my accessories (rubber snake and headset) from Amazon and they were both really cheap. Also, if you can't find a rubber snake, a stuffed one will work too. Lastly, I curled my hair and I had some adhesive rhinestones that I applied to my eyes and upper stomach area. You can find these at Claire's, a pharmacy, or any Halloween supply store.

2. Baby Hit Me One More Time

Everyone does Hit Me One More Time schoolgirl Britney, but what about tracksuit Britney?! It's just as cute and way less overdone.

For this look, wear a pink sports bra or cropped top with a pair of white track pants or sweat pants. Extra points if you put pink shorts or underwear under the pants to stick out above the waistband. Tie your hair in two half up half down pigtails and throw on a pair of white sneakers .

3. Oops I Did It Again

This is definitely popular but it's just too cute to leave off of the list. For Oops I Did It Again outerspace Britney you'll need a red latex suit and black boots or sneakers, which you can probably find online easily enough. If not, look for red latex or pleather pants and long sleeve shirt.

The hair and makeup are really important to this look so straighten your hair, then bobby pin it behind your ears so it stays in place, and lastly tease the crown of your head to give it some height.

For makeup, lay on the silver and gray eyeshadow with a super glossy lip. Add a microphone to the look to really commit to character.

4. Like A Circus

Okay now I can't get "Circus" out of my head. For Britney's ringmaster look, you can either buy a ringmaster costume online or from a Halloween store, or you can put your own look together.

To DIY, you'll need a pair of black leather or pleather shorts, black fishnet tights, black knee-length boots, and a red military style jacket. You can add black fur to the shoulders or just black shoulder pads to accentuate the look. Then, you can buy a headset and a whip or walking stick to tie the look together.

5. Paparazzi

While this may not be a cute Britney look, it definitely is an iconic one. You can achieve hitting paparazzi with an umbrella Britney pretty easily. You'll need a gray hoodie, white denim shorts, white sneakers, white calf length socks, a bald cap, and an umbrella.
